Things to Do While Visiting the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is the central focal point of the city of Paris, visible from throughout the area. But as long as you are traveling to the area, you can check out most of the other landmarks in the area. Below are the few of the most exciting tourist attractions located close to the Eiffel Tower.

  • Les Invalides—Just a half a mile from the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides features tombs of notable heroes, including military leader Napoleon Bonaparte. Bonaparte’s remains were brought here in 1840, where they rest alongside members of his family and others who fought alongside him, like army general Comte Bertrand.
  • Avenue de Suffren—This breathtaking area of town is also only a half a mile away from the Eiffel Tower and features shops and hotels with views, providing an ideal place for out-of-towners to stay.
  • Seine River Dinner Cruise—What better way to see the Seine River while visiting the Eiffel Tower than on a dinner cruise? If you’d prefer to have your dinner somewhere else and save a little money, you can opt for the last cruise of the day, which doesn’t include dinner.
  • Rodin Museum—While you’re in the town where renowned sculptor Auguste Rodin spent the last years of his life, enjoy a museum featuring his sculptures and private art collection. His most well-known piece, The Thinker, is located in the garden.

If you aren’t averse to public transportation, the Champs Elysee and Musée du Louvre are within a short ride on the Metro. The Metro is easily accessible throughout the city and will take you to those once-in-a-lifetime attractions that aren’t within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower.

Before you leave for your trip to the Eiffel Tower, be sure to note those attractions you are most interested in seeing to avoid missing that attraction you’ll regret.
